Local Recording Fund

The Lincolnshire Biodiversity Partnership is pleased to be able to support individuals and organisations in the historic county of Lincolnshire to promote and encourage environmental recording.

Each year, money is made available to support projects and schemes such as training courses or recording events. Could a grant of £200 - £500 help support your work? If so, read on!

About the fund

The aim of the Local Recording Fund is to promote and encourage environmental recording in the historic county of Lincolnshire. It is against this broad aim that applications will be assessed.

As the aim of the fund is to promote and encourage recording, evidence of this will be required at the end of the project. Any records generated from activities will need to passed to the Lincolnshire Environmental Records Centre or to one of the County Recorders (see www.lnu.org/recorders.php) and a short report detailing the project and its outcomes will be required.

The fund is entirely discretionary and dependent upon the income received by the Lincolnshire Environmental Records Centre. The total amount available will be reviewed annually by the Steering Group of the Lincolnshire Biodiversity Partnership.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to groups or individuals that operate within the historic county of Lincolnshire (Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire). Part funding and match funding applications can be applied for, as well as full funding application.

How much can you apply for?

There is no set limit however applications will be expected in the range of £200 to £500. Other applications will be assessed on the merits of the project.

If you are applying for part or match funding, you must be able to demonstrate that other funds are secured before applying for the fund.

When do I need to apply by?

Application forms are assessed quarterly, but are accepted at any time during the year (for applications to be assessed on a particular date they need to be sent in a week before). You will receive notification of the outcome within five working days of your application being assessed.
